હરિ તું ગાડું મારું ક્યાં લઇ જાય કાંઇ ના જાણુ
ધરમ કરમ ના જોડ્યા બળદિયા ધીરજ ની લગામ તાણુ,

સુખ ને દુખ ના પૈડા ઉપર ગાડુ ચાલ્યુ જાય
કદી ઉગે આશા નો સૂરજ કદી અંધારુ થાય
મારઈ મુજ ને ખબર નથી કઇ ક્યાં મારું ઠેકાણું, કાંઇ ના જાણું

પાપણ પટારે સપના સંઘર્યા, ઉપર મન ની સાંકળ વાસી
ડગર ડગરીયા આવે નગરીયા, નાય આવે મારુ કાશી
ક્યારે વેરણ રાત વિતે ક્યારે વાયે વાણું, કાંઇ ના જાણું

ક્યાથી આવું ક્યા જવાનું ક્યાં મારે રહેવાનું
અગમ-નિગમ નો ખેલ અગોચર, મન માં મુંઝાવાનું
હરતું ફરતું શરીર તો છે પિંજર એક પુરાણું, કાંઇ ના જાણું

नमस्तेऽस्तु महामाये श्रीपीठे सुरपूजिते।
शङ्ख चक्र गदाहस्ते महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते ते॥१॥
Oh, Mahamaya (primordial cause of this illusionary world), who bestows all luxuries, who is worshipped by demi-gods, who holds conch-shell, discus (chakra) and mace, Oh mother Mahaalakshmi, my salutations to you.
नमस्ते गरुड़ारूढ़े कोलासुर भयङ्करि।
सर्वपाप हरे देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते॥२॥
Oh Goddess, Mahaalakshmi, who rides on garuda and is a terror to the demon Kola, who remves all sins, my salutations to you.
सर्वज्ञे सर्व वरदे सर्व दुष्ट भयञ्करि।
सर्व दुःख हरे देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते॥३॥
Oh Goddess Mahaalakshmi, who knows all, who fulfills all desires, who causes fear among the evil and who removes all sorrows, my salutations to you.
सिद्धि बुद्धि प्रदे देवि भुक्ति मुक्ति प्रदायिनि।
मन्त्रमूर्ते सदा देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते॥४॥
Oh goddess of Wealth, who bestows complete attainment (siddhi) and wisdom for the liberation of moksha (salvation), who has the mystic symbol of Mantra, my salutations to you.
आद्यन्तरहिते देवि आद्यशक्ति महेश्वरि।
योगजे योगसम्भूते महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते॥५॥
Oh Devi, Maheshwari, who is without a beginning or an end, who is born out of yoga and is brought together the means of yoga, O Primeval Energy, Oh Mahaalakshmi, my salutations to you.
स्थूल सूक्ष्म महारौद्रे महाशक्ति महोदरे।
महापाप हरे देवि महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते॥६॥
O Mahaalakshmi, who is both gross and subtle, most terrible, great power, great prosperity and great remover of all sins, my salutations to you.
पद्मासन स्थिते देवि परब्रह्म स्वरूपिणि।
परमेशि जगन्मातर्महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते॥७॥
O Devi, who is seated on lotus, whose true form is that of the Supreme Brahman; Who is the supreme goddess and a Mother of the Universe, O Mahaalakshmi, my salutations to you.
श्वेताम्बरधरे देवि नानालङ्कार भूषिते।
जगत्स्थिते जगन्मातर्महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते॥८॥
O Devi, robed in white garments and decked with various kinds of ornaments; you are the Mother of the Universe and its support, O Mahaalakshmi, my salutations to you.
महालक्ष्म्यष्टकस्तोत्रं यः पठेद् भक्तिमान्नरः।
सर्व सिद्धिमवाप्नोति राज्यं प्राप्नोति सर्वदा॥९॥
Whoever with devotion recites these hymns composed in eight slokaas (Stanzas) of Mahaalakshmi with devotion, will obtain all success and the spiritual kingdom of liberation (moksha), through the grace of Mahaalakshmi Devi.
एककाले पठेन्नित्यं महापापविनाशनम्।
द्विकालं यः पठेन्नित्यं धनधान्य समन्वितः॥१०॥
Whoever reads these hymns once a day, all his pitfalls are removed,
if he reads twice a day, all physical prosperity is achieved.
त्रिकालं यः पठेन्नित्यं महाशत्रुविनाशनम्।
महालक्ष्मी भवेन्नित्यं प्रसन्ना वरदा शुभा॥११॥
If one reads them three times a day, he/she will become devoid of enmity and hatred,
Let Mahaalakshmi manifest in us with all her pleasantness and fulfilling qualities.

જેટલા લાડ કૃષ્ણે એના ભક્તોને અને ભક્તોએ એને લડાવ્યા છે એ અન્ય તમામ ભગવાન માટે ઈર્ષ્યાજનક છે. નરસિંહ મહેતાના આ ખૂબ જાણીતા પદમાં ગોપી અને યશોદાના કલહસ્વરૂપે અનન્ય ક્હાન-પ્રેમ ઉજાગર થયો છે. નટખટ કાનુડો એના તોફાન માટે જાણીતો છે. એ શીંકાં તોડે છે, માખણ ખાય ન ખાય અને વેરી નાંખે છે, દહીં વલોવવાની મટકી પણ ફોડી નાંખે છે અને છતાં છાતી કાઢીને કોઈથીય બીતો ન હોય એમ ફરે છે. ગોપીઓ હવે આ નગરમાં રહેવું અને રોજેરોજ અને કેટલું સહેવું એવો પ્રશ્ન કરે છે ત્યારે માતા યશોદા મારો કાનુડો તો ઘરમાં જ હતો એમ કહીને વળી એનું જ ઉપરાણું લે છે. વાતચીતના કાકુ અને અદભુત લયસૂત્રે બંધાયેલું આ ગીત વાંચવા કરતાં ગણગણવાની જ વધુ મજા આવે છે….
મનના મેવાડમાં એક રાણો વસે છે,
એ રાણાને અહીંથી ઉથાપો કોઇ,
મને મીરાંનું પાગલપન આપો કોઇ.
મને મેવાડી મહેલ હવે જોઇતા નથી, હીરા મોતીના હેલ હવે જોઇતા નથી,
મારા જ કરંડિયાને સાપ તો ડસે, એ સાપને તો અહીંથી ઉથાપો કોઇ.
મને મીરાંનું વૃંદાવન આપો કોઇ…..
હરિ-આવનના અવાજને હું સાંભળ્યા કરું, અહીં દિવસ ને રાત દીપ બાળ્યા કરું
નૈનનમેં નન્દલાલ એવા શ્વસે, મને પ્રીતિ પુરાતન આપો કોઇ
મને મીરાંનું વૈરાગન આપો કોઇ…..હવે સાંવરિયો મનભાવન સ્થાપો કોઇ!!
I adore You, Who is the great Goddess (Mahādevī), Who is Mahāśakti (the greatest power), Who is Bhavānī, Who is the dear one of Śiva (Bhava), Who destroys the grief of metempsychosis, and Who is the Mother of the world.
I adore You, Who is dear to devotees, Who is reachable by devotion, Who increases the fame (glory) of devotees, Who is dear to Śiva, Who is Satī (eternal truth), Who is noble Goddess, and Who endears devotees.
I adore You, Who is Annapūrṇā (Who gives grains), Who is always complete (in every way), Who is Pārvatī (daughter of Parvata Himālaya), Who is prayed on parva (Parva consists of the full moon day, the change of moon, and the eighth day and the fourteenth day of half month.), Who is the greatĪśvarī, Who is seated on a bull, and Who is the supreme Goddess.
I adore You, Who is Kālarātriḥ, Who is the great Goddess Rātriḥ,Who is the night of deluge (prayalakāla rātriḥ), Who is the Goddess of everyone, Who is the beloved of Śiva, Who is the power of Śambhu, Who is the Mother, and Who is known as Umā.
I adore You, Who creates the universe, Who nourishes (protects) the universe like a Mother, Who causes the destruction of universe (at deluge), Who is eulogized by sages (muni), Who is auspicious, and Who bestows mokṣa (liberation).
देवदु:खहरामम्बां सदा देवसहायकाम् ।
मुनिदेवै: सदा सेव्यां वन्दे त्वां देवपूजिताम् ॥६॥
I adore You, Who absolves the grief of demi-gods (or noble ones), Who is the Divine Mother, Who always helps the demi-gods (or noble ones), Who is always worthy to be honored by sages and demi-gods, and Who is worshipped by demi-gods (or noble ones).
I adore You, Who has three eyes, Who is the consort of Śiva, Who is Gaurī (or of fair-complexion), Who bestows luxuries and liberation, Who is eternally blissful, Who is the great illusory power (Māyā), Who is the seed (cause) of this universe, and Who is the Goddess of the universe.
I adore You, Who destroys all the griefs of living-beings seeking shelter (in Her), Who causes happiness and prosperity, Who is eternal, Who is Prakṛti (primordial One), and Who is Parā.
With devotion, he who reads these eight verses on Goddess —which is virtuous, and which is written by Yogānanda, he attains the final happiness and bliss.
આજે ૧૯ સપ્ટેમ્બર ૨૦૧૨, એટલે શુભ પ્રસંગોનો શુભારંભ જેનાથી થાય છે તેવા અષ્ટવિનાયકનો દિવસ એટલે ગણેશ ચતુર્થી એટલે કે દસ દિવસ સુધી ગણેશોત્સવ મનાવ્યે…..જય દેવ જય દેવ જય મંગલમૂર્તિ…..
