ગઇકાલે ટહુકોની ત્રીજી વર્ષગાંઠ પર મુકુલભાઇએ સ્પેશિયલ ગીત લખીને મને અને સૌને એક અમુલ્ય ભેટ આપી છે.. મુકુલભાઇ, આભાર કહીને આ ભાર ઓછો નહીં કરું! હું એ માટે હંમેશા આપની ઋણી રહીશ.! અને શુભેચ્છા પાઠવનાર દરેક મિત્રોનો પણ ખૂબ ખૂબ આભાર..!
આજે સાંભળીએ હેમુ ગઢવી અને દીના ગાંધર્વના સ્વરમાં આ ખૂબ જાણીતુ લોકગીત.
એવોયે વખત હશે, જ્યારે વાણિયા જેવી પોચી જાત અને તેમાંયે એક અબળા, પોતાના ઉપર કુદ્રષ્ટિ કરનાર રાજાને પણ કાળજે કારી ઘા પડે તેવો માર્મિક જવાબ આપીને ભોંઠો પાડતી. જીવાજી ઠાકોરે રોજ રોજ લાલચો દીધી. વાણિયાણીએ ખામોશ પકડી. પણ આખરે તો એણે રાજાની રાણીઓની, રાજ્યની અને મસ્તકની જ હરરાજી બોલાવી,ત્યારે ઠાકોર ઘોડાં પાવા જવાનું ભૂલી ગયા.- ‘રઢિયાળી રાત’ -સંપાદક-ઝવેરચંદ મેઘાણી

હેમુ ગઢવી નુઁ આ અદભુત ગીત પણ એક અફસોસ આવા મહાન કલાકારનાં ગણીને પાંચ સાત ગીતો મળે છે
what a pity that a few decades ago, due to an “error ” by a technician of All India Radio – Rajkot, audio Reel Hundreds of songsfull of Hemu Gadhvi was destroyed.
Not to mention being the best, had many rivals, influential enough to engineer a sabotage.

I think Dina Gandharva then came to be known as Dina Pathak, one of the most famous actresses of Hindi cinema (she used to do lot of Gujarati theatre when she was known as Dina Gandharva)? As Dina Gandharva, “Mena Gurjari” was her sterling performance and as Dina Pathak, she has been in many well-known roles, including Khoobsoorat (Rekha starrer)and GolMaal (where she played hired mother to Amol Palekar) – I am not sure but I think they are both one and the same person.

હેમુભૈ નુ જાનિતુ ગિત “વહુ કરેચ્હે અપન ઘર નિ વત જો અ વહુએ વગોવવ્યા મોતા ખોર્દરે લોલ્” તમે આ ગિત મુકિ સકો ? હેમુ ભૈ ન કન્થે ગયેલુ.
વરસોથિ નવ્રત્રિ મ આ ગિત સમ્ભલુ હતુ.અજે યાદ અવિ ગયુ. બધ ગિત બહુજ સરસ ચ્હે.
હું મોરબીનો એટલે આ ગીત પોતીકું લાગે. મોરબીના જયાબેન, મનુબેન અને ઇન્દુબેન શાહ બહેનો એ, તે સમયે (સાઈઠનો દશકો), હેમુ ગઢ્વી સાથે ઘણા યાદગાર લોક્ગીતો ગાયેલા. આ ગીતો માત્ર રેડિયો પર સાંભળવા મળતા. તેમાંનુ એક યાદગાર રુપક “કવડા સાસરીયા” એ, તે સમયે ઘણી લોકપ્રિયતા મેળવેલી. લગભગ લુપ્ત થયેલા લોક સાહિત્ય અને તેને આધારિત સર્વ કલામાં પ્રાણ ફૂંકનાર ઝવેરચ્ંદ મેઘાણી અને પ્રત્યેક ગુજરાતીના ઘટમાં લોક્ગીતોને ધરબી દેનાર હેમુભાઈ ગઢવીની જોડીએ લોક-સંસ્કૃતીની ઉમદા સેવા કરી છે.
