શાસ્ત્રીય ગાયક, પંડિત શ્રી અતુલ દેસાઇનું સોમવારે – જાન્યુઆરી ૨૦, ૨૦૧૩ – Toronto, Canada ખાતે હૃદયરોગનાં હુમલાને કારણે અવસાન થયું. પંડિત અતુલ દેસાઇ ગ્વાલિયર ઘરાનાનાં યુગસર્જક ગાયક, પંડિત ઓમકારનાથ ઠાકુરનાં પટ્ટશિષ્ય હતા. તેમણે પંડિતજીની ગાયકીને આત્મસાત્ કરી હતી.

આપણા સર્વ તરફથી પંડિતજીને હ્રદયપૂર્વક શ્રધ્ધાંજલી..! એમનું સ્વરાંકન ‘વિરાટનો હિંડોળો’ તો અગણિતવાર સાંભળ્યું છે..! એમના સંગીત થકી પંડિતજી હંમેશા આપણી વચ્ચે રહેશે.

Nalini Ambady is a beloved friend, renowned researcher and professor at Stanford University, and the active mom of two teenage daughters, Maya and Leena.  She is also fighting for her life. My amazing and wonderful postdoc advisor, mentor, and friend, Professor Nalini Ambady of the psychology department, has had a relapse of Leukemia, which she first had in 2004. You can fix that with just a few minutes of your time.”
