લાડકી દીકરી સાસરે જાય, ત્યારની વિદાયવેળાના ઘણા ગીતો આપણે સાંભળ્યા છે, અને વધુ એવા ગીતો હજુ ટહુકો પર આવશે… પણ આ ગીત થોડુ અલાયદું છે.
અહીં પ્રસ્તુત ગીતમાં એક દીકરી જ્યારે સાસરે ગયા પછી પપ્પાને યાદ કરે છે, તેની વ્યથા છે. મા-બાપ સાથેનો નાતો અનોખો જ હોય છે.. અને તેમાં પણ જ્યારે દીકરી પપ્પાની થોડી વધુ લાડકી હોય.. ત્યારે એને આમ પપ્પાથી દૂર પરદેશે જવાનું વધારે આકરું લાગતું હોય.

Its a very very touching poem,when i heard this poem i cryed a lot because by the grace of god i have 2 barbie doll daughters which are in india and i m in Dubai.

Many people used to ask me, dont u have ‘son’!! I never replied to them, sparing insult to my two daughters. I never intentionally otherwise, wished to have ‘son’, what I wished was to have nice kids only. Today, I am proud and happy father.
