રાતે આવે નીંદર રૂડી, મારી કને એટલી મૂડી.
જારને ઝાઝા જુહાર કે’જે, ઊડે આંહી મકાઈનો લોટ,
બેસવા પણ ઠેકાણું ના મળે, કૂબામાં તારે શી ખોટ ?
મુંબઈની મેડીયું મોટી, પાયામાંથી સાવ છે ખોટી.
ભીંસ વધીને ઠેલંઠેલા, રોજ પડે હડતાળ,
શે’રના કરતા ગામડામાં, મને દેખાય ઝાઝો માલ,
નથી જાવું દાડિયે તારે, દિવાળીએ આવવું મારે.
કાગળનું તારે કામ શું માડી ! વાવડ સાચા જાણ,
તારા અંધાપાની લાકડી થાવાના, મેં લીધા પચખાણ,
હવે નથી ગોઠતું માડી, વાંચી તારી આપદા કાળી.

સરસ ગીત પણ મા નુ દર્દ જાણી ને દિકરો પણ ઍનુ દુખ રડે તે ક્યા નો ન્યાય. દિકરાએ તો ગમે ત્યા થી પાચ પાઇ મોકલી ને મા ની ભુખ ભાગી હોત તો આ ગીત જ્રરા જુદી રીતે લખાત. કદાચ ભાણીયા ના શબ્દોમા એક બીજુ ગીત લખાય તો સારુ, કવિ હોય તો કલમ ઉપાડો.

આ ગીત મને અને મારી mother ને ખૂબ ગમ્યુ.પણ તેમના કહ્યા મુજબ તે જ્યારે સ્કુલ મા હ્તા ત્યારે દિકરા નો જવાબ અલગ ગીત થી રજુ કરેલ હતો તો તે શોધી આપવા નમ્ર વિનતી.

Both the songs are very well written and touching.
but i think , We should not let our mother to know our hardships, as after knowing that she would be more “dukhi”. But apart from that the songs are very great.

ગુજરાતી સઁગીત અને કાવ્ય સન્ગ્રહ નો આ અતિ અમુલ્ય વારસો સાચવવા અને પ્રસારવવા બદલ આપનો ખુબ ખુબ આભાર….

The song which i was looking from last many years. The song i use to listen before 45 years . This can bring tears in the eyes of any one even a toughest guy .

hats off to zaverchand ji who wrote this song..life long memory…when i was small kid my father used to sing this song for me in varandah of our home…which i can not forget still..and he was singing in raga…unforgetable..so hearttoching…..this song has the power of “karuna”….hats off to all gujarati poets and writers…

I like this kavita too much.I hear “sheetalsangeet.com” on line radio for gujarati from canada.I requested them to play”andhari mano patra” by indulal gandhiin june.2010.They honoured my request & played “Patra & reply” so many time,I like this kavita from my childhood.When ever i hear this patra,i use to cry.It is heart touching patra.If any of ur friend wants to play on line radio for gujarati,specialy those who r away from gujarat,go to above site.Thanks
