સ્વરકાર શ્રી દિલીપ ધોળકિયાએ ગઈકાલે – ૨ જાન્યુઆરી, ૨૦૧૧ ના દિવસે સવારે – ૯૦ વર્ષની ઉંમરે આપણા સૌ વચ્ચેથી ચિર વિદાય લીધી. જો કે એમના સ્વરાંકનો અને અને એમના સ્વરમઢ્યા ગીતો થકી દિલીપકાકા હંમેશા આપણી વચ્ચે રહેશે. ૭ વર્ષની ઉંમરથી સંગીતસાથે જોડાયેલા દિલીપકાકાની સંગીત સફર વિષે થોડી વાતો આપ અહીંથી જાણી શકશો.
ગુજરાતી સંગીત જગત દિલીપકાકાનું હંમેશા ઋણી રહેશે..!

Great musician and humble person!
He was one of the very few Gujarati musicians who made in-roads in the Hindi film industry in early days. Even today there are fewer Gujarati in film industry.
He was a staunch bhakt of Swaminarayan and Pramukh Swami. So it is worth saluting by saying – Jay Swaminarayan!
સચિન જાનેકે ૯૦ રન બનાવિ ને આઉટ થયો હોય તેવો વસવસો લાગે ચે
I pray to our Lord to rest Dilip dada’s soul in Peace and grand His soul the heavenly Peace and Joy for ever. I also pray for all His near and dear once…to give them courage and my sympathy to all His Loving Friends…we always remember Dilip dada Dholakiya.God bless.

Dilip kaka was a legendary art soul our Gujarati Community has lost today. He left so many memories for us ….I still remember him taking a scooter ride on my old Bajaj Scooter from Shahibaug BAPS Swaminarayan Temple to his home near polytechnic. Such a great Music Personality and human being with
I saw him in Swaminarayan Kirtan Recordings in ahmedabad studios and singing with a true soul in Pukya Pramukh Swami’s pooja….I can not forget his connection with god in music form.

દિલીપભાઈ ધોળકિયા સાથે મારો જૂનો નાતો. મારી કવિતાના મોટા ચાહક અને ભાવક. એ મારા પ્રિય સ્વરકારોમાંના એક. મારા ગીત ‘તારા બગીચામાં રહેતી ગઈ’નું અનુપમ સ્વરાંકન કરી એમણે એ ગીત સૌ પ્રથમ અનુરાધા પોડવાલ પાસે ગવડાવેલું. આજેય એ સ્વરાંકન એટલું જ કર્ણપ્રિય અને ગણગણવાનું મન થાય એવું ચિરસ્મરણીય છે.
એમના જતાં ગુજરાતી સંગીત વિશ્વમાં ન પુરાય એવી ખોટ પડી છે. એમના આત્માને મારી શ્રદ્વાંજલિ.

પુજ્ય શ્રી દિલીપભાઈના અવસાનથી ખરેખર તો ગુજરાતી સંગીતને તો ખોટ પડીજ છે, પણ આપણે ગુજરાતીઓને તો બહુજ મોટી ખોટ પડી છે. કોઈ પણ ગુજરાતી સુગમ સંગીતનો એવો કાર્યક્રમ નહિં હોય કે જેમાં આ ગીત ન ગવાયું હોય એવું અમર છે.

૨ જાન્યુઆરી ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય માટે ભારે જ છે .
૨ જાન્યુઆરી ૧૯૯૪ ના બેફામ સાહેબ ગયા….
૨ જાન્યુઆરી ૨૦૧૦ ના કવિવર્ય રાજેન્દ્ર શાહ………………..
અને ૨૦૧૧મા હવે દિલીપભાઈ ધોળકિયા…
૧૯૫૨ માં પ્રથમ વખત આ ગીત સાંભળ્યું ત્યારથી આજ સુધીમાં ખરેખર આ ગીતનો નંબર પ્રથમજ આવે. ત્યારે તો રેકોર્ડ જ આવતી, ટેપનું તો નામે નહોતું સાંભળ્યુ. એમના અવાજમાં રેકોર્ડ સાંભળવાનો પણ એક લહાવો હતો. બનતા સુધી રેકોર્ડની બીજી સાઈડ ઉપર “વગડા વચ્ચે તલાવડી’ નું ગીત હતું. ત્યારે વારંવાર આ બન્ને ગીતો સાંભળતાં.
શ્રી દિલીપભાઈના અવસાનથી ખરેખર તો ગુજરાતી સંગીતને તો ખોટ પડીજ છે, પણ આપણે ગુજરાતીઓને તો બહુજ મોટી ખોટ પડી છે. કોઈ પણ ગુજરાતી સુગમ સંગીતનો એવો કાર્યક્રમ નહિં હોય કે જેમાં આ ગીત ન ગવાયું હોય એવું અમર છે.
