ખુબ જ સરસ ગીત છે. મારી મમ્મી આ ગીત ગાઇ ને મને સુવડાવતી હતી, જ્યારે હુ ખુબ નાની હતી. I really miss my mom here in USA.It made me cry.

The singer of this entry is Hamangini Desai, though Asha has also sung this before.

This is a very good poem, i really like it. I used to listen this when i was in a school forom my music teacher, Punita Medam. and this song remind me those golden days.

kamlesh ! it is not Hansa Dave !the singer is Hema Desai, if i m not wrong !. (she is Ashit Desai’s wife.) both are very good singers. i wonder why couldn’t you differentiate between two voices!

This is the voice of Smt. Vibha Desai (wife of Shri. Rasbihari Desai). I would request Jayshreeji to post the same song performed in a duet form by Shri. Rasbihari Desai and Vibhaji. It would be indeed an awesome !!!!

I am delighted after visiting this website. This gives the pleasure and joy of staying in touch with our great culture. ઘણુ સરસ ગાયુ,ગીત પણ સરસ છે.ગુજરાતી સમાજમા અતિશય લોકપ્રિય.ગવાય એટલે ગમવા માઁડે,મોટા ભાગના ગીતો સાગમટે ગમી શકતા નથી હોત.

Shree Rasbihari Desai,, Composer of this song.
I got a luck to hear this song from him, live. Even there was not all the instrument. Only Tabla and Harmonium was there.
Khare khar mara ruvada ubha thai gaya and mari ankho ma pani aavi gayu..

I appreciate your efforts to give full justice to the lyrics, musicians and owner of the copyrights ofthe songs but think in this way, why don’t you make downloading with paying online to the website as there are so many different songs bhajans etc that I would love to own but I will not be able to buy each and every cd as I am looking for diverse selection which, I think, can be by pay and download. These are my views . Hope you will do something for this.

ખૂબ જ સરળ શબ્દોથી ગૂંથાયેલું ગીત ગુજરાતી જનમાનસમાં એવું તો જડાઈ ગયું કે
વિવીધ ગાયક-ગાયિકાઓએ તેમના સ્વરથી શણગારવાની કોશિષ કરી છે.
સુશ્રી વિભા દેસાઈ, સુશ્રી હેમા દેસાઈ, સુશ્રી આશા ભોંસલે , શ્રી રાસબિહારી દેસાઈ…જેવા કલાકારોનો સ્વર સાંપડ્યો. મારા મત અનુસાર સુશ્રી આશા ભોંસલેની ગાયિકી લાજવાબ છે.
સુશ્રી ઉષા મંગેશકરના સ્વરમાં આ ગીત કંડારાયું હોત તો ચાર ચાંદ લાગી જાત.
શ્રી અવિનાશ વ્યાસ (સભાગૃહ નહિ) લોક હદયમાં જીવતા કવિ છે.
