જો અરજ કબૂલ હો આટલી તો હદયથી જાઓ નયન સુધી.
તમે રાજરાણીનાં ચીર સમ, અમે રંક નારની ચૂંદડી !
તમે તન પે રહો ઘડી બે ઘડી, અમે સાથ દઈએ કફન સુધી.
જો હદયની આગ વધી ‘ગની’, તો ખુદ ઈશ્વરે જ કૃપા કરી;
કોઈ શ્વાસ બંધ કરી ગયું, કે પવન ન જાય અગન સુધી.

Indeed this is really a masterpiece, written : Composed and sung by legends…This type of rare combination you dont come across too often.
Bye the way, in RADIO TAHUKO also this is sung by Soli Kapadia and he has also done full justice. I recommend that if you get a chance then listen to that also because… you will feel the same but with some freshness.

હિતેશભાઇ,
આ ગઝલ આખી જ વાગે છે - એટલે કે સંગીતબધ્ધ થયેલી આખી ગઝલ.. ગઝલકારે લખેલા બધા જ શેર સંગીતબધ્ધ થયા હોય એ જરૂરી નથી.. અને આ ગઝલમાં પણ સ્વરકારે બધા શેર સ્વરબદ્ધ નથી કર્યા..!!

માનવી ચાંદ પર પહોંચી શકે પણ કોઈના મન સુધી પહોંચવું ખરેખર અધરુ છે, ધણીવાર તો અશકય છે. લોકો કહે છે સ્ત્રીના મનને જાણવુ અઘરુ છે પણ હમણાં જ જાણ્યુ કે પુરુષના મનને જાણવુ પણ ઘણુ અઘરુ છે.

I love this gazal as i am big fan of Rafi ji,I have meet all three people who created this gazal, during my college days in Kavi samelan I meet Gani Dahiwala and he was very creative and funny at a times with his presentations, then I meet Rafi Ji at Tardeo recording studio where my relative worked and it was like meeting Saint and last while in USA garba in Edison high school, New jersey I went to get autograph on my old audio cassette label of Purshotaam Upadhaya, he was not happy to autograph but anyways he did sign it, so as Gani Ji said ..Divso Judai na jayee che but we always cheriesh those old memories.
