શમ્મી કપૂરના ગીતો એટલે મસ્તી..આજે જેટલા ગીતો લઇને આવી છું, એ તો એમના ગમતા ગીતોની એક ઝલક માત્ર છે, એમ કહીશ.. અને શમ્મી કપૂરના ગમતા ગીતોમાં ફક્ત નાચમ્-કુદમ્ હોય એવું યે નથી, ‘એહસાન તેરા હોગા મુઝપર.. અને આવાઝ દેકે હમેં તુમ બુલાઓ.. જેવા પ્રણયથી ભ્રપૂર ગીતો પણ મને એટલા જ ગમે છે.
મોટેભાગે એવું હોય છે કે કોઇ ગીત ક્યાં તો સંગીતકારને લીધે ગમે, કોઇ ગાયકીને લીધે ગમી જાય, તો કોઇ ગીતના શબ્દો જ એવા હોય કે સીધા હ્રદયમાં ઊતરી જાય.. શમ્મી કપૂરના ગીતોમાં આ બધા કારણો તો હોવાના, પણ એમાં એક મહત્વનું પાસું ઉમેરાય છે – શમ્મી કપૂર..!!

M. Rafi is my favorite singer.
Shammikapoor is the only natural actor and dancer. His acting never looks like an act but still so natural and genuine.
It is said that M.rafi was voice of Shammi kapoor.
I had two audio cassets full of Rafi – shammi songs years ago but lost it when moving to Canada.

There is special style of Shammi Kapoor while performing the song, that he will dance in all different forms and ways while repeating the “Mukhda” of the Song. If you have not marked it so far, start watching his songs again. Only hero who had rarely kept his shirt “In-shirt” and still look handsome, charming and ROYALE.
