A brand new Group Gujarati Ghazal recorded during the Coronavirus Quarantine following all Quarantine protocols.
સૌ પ્રથમ તો શબ્દ છે હથિયાર એ ભૂલું નહીં;
બીજું એ કે હારીને હેઠું કદી મૂકું નહીં.
કોઈ હાથે સ્કૂલ બસમાં ફિટ થયેલો એક બોમ્બ,
પ્રાર્થના કરતો હતો કે, ‘કાશ હું ફૂટું નહીં.’
કોઈએ પકડી મને ફેંક્યું હશે બાકી તો હું,
આબરૂનું ચીંથરું છું જાતે કંઈ ઊડું નહીં.
લાગણીનું તેલ રેડ્યા કર હૃદયના કોડિયે,
જેથી અંદર હું સતત પ્રગટેલો રહું, બુઝું નહીં.
સાંજ, તું, હું, આંખમાં છલકાતો અમિયલ કેફ , મૌન;
એક પણ કારણ નથી એવું કે હું ઝૂમું નહીં.
જિંદગી સહદેવ જેવી છે કશું બોલે નહીં,
હું ય એવો છું કે સામેથી કશું પૂછું નહીં.
ઊઠતા જોયો મને એણે સભામાંથી, થયું;
કે ભલે દુનિયાથી ઊઠી જઉં હવે, ઊઠું નહીં.
બોજ ઉંમરનો મને દઈ તું નમાવી નૈં શકે;
એથી બહુ બહુ તો કમરમાંથી વળું, ઝૂકું નહીં.

શબ્દો હવે કબુતર બની ગયા, ચણવા હેઠળ ઉતર્યા, ઝાંકીને જોઉં ત્યાં ફરરર ઊડી ગયા!
ભલે,હું પણ ” વળું પણ ઝુકું નહિં “
વાહ! સર્વ સંપૂર્ણ સરસ.
શબ્દ,સ્વર,સંગીત,સમન્વય અને આરત!
ત્રાણુવર્ષે કોક મળ્યાં, દિલ દિલોમાં ભળી ગયું.
બહુ જ સરસ ગીત, સંગીત અને ગાયકી.

I tried writing with your “select Gujarati” help!
It is a very difficult tool. Google provides much simpler and direct way of writing in Gujarati! So much for that.
The beautiful thoughts expressed in words of this beautiful ghazal are grasping for breath in the limitations imposed by this mediocre composition, that is so irrelevant to the mood, bhaav, and overall verbal expression of this ghazal!

It is a paradox but truth that Covid 19 has helped the creativity pool and in our context Gujarati literature is richer for it. Hope you agree.
