હમણા ચૈત્ર નવરાત્રી ચાલે છે.. ( મને તો ઉમાબેને કહ્યું ત્યારે જ ખબર પડી ). અને નવરાત્રીની સાથે યાદ આવે ગરબા, આરતી, દાંડિયા… અને આ સ્તુતિ પણ. આરતીની સાથે લગભગ બધે જ આ સ્તુતિ સાંભળી છે. આમ તો ટહુકો પર પહેલેથી આ સ્તુતિ છે જ, પણ આજે થોડો ઉમેરો કરું છું. ( અરે ચિંતા ના કરો.. હું જાતે ગાઇને નથી સંભળાવવાની 
) આ એક જ સ્તુતિ ત્રણ અલગ અલગ રાગમાં સાંભળો.

વિશ્વંભરી અખિલ વિશ્વતણી જનેતા,
વિદ્યાધરી વદનમાં વસજો વિધાતા;
દુર્બુદ્ધિ દૂર કરીને સદબુદ્ધિ આપો
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 1
ભૂલો પડી ભવરણે ભટકું ભવાનિ,
સુઝે નહિ લગીર કોઇ દિશા જવાની;
ભાસે ભયંકર વળી મનના ઉતાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 2
આ રંકને ઉગરવા નથી કોઇ આરો,
જન્માંધ છું જનની હું ગ્રહી બાંહ્ય તારો,
ના શું સુણો ભગવતી શિશુના વિલાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 3
મા કર્મ જન્મ કથની કરતાં વિચારું,
આ સૃષ્ટિમાં તુજ વિના નથી કોઇ મારું,
કોને કહું કઠિન યુગ તણો બળાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 4
હું કામ ક્રોધ મદ મોહ થકી છકેલો,
આડંબરે અતિ ઘણો મદથી બકેલો,
દોષો થકી દુષિતના કરી માફ પાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 5
ના શાશ્ત્રના શ્રવણનું પયપાન પીધું,
હા મંત્ર કે સ્તુતિ કથા નથી કાંઇ કીધું,
શ્રદ્ધા ધરી નથી કર્યા તવ નામ જાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 6
રે રે ભવાનિ બહુ ભૂલ થઇ જ મારી,
આ જિંદગી થઇ મને અતિશે અકારી,
દોષો પ્રજાળી સઘળાં તવ છાપ છાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 7
ખાલી ન કાંઇ સ્થળ છે વિણ આપ ધારો,
બ્રહ્માંડમાં અણું અણું મહીં વાસ તારો,
શક્તિ ન માપ ગણવા અગણિત માપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 8
પાપે પ્રપંચ કરવા બધી વાતે પૂરો,
ખોટો ખરો ભગવતી પણ હું તમારો,
જાડ્યાંધકાર કરી દૂર સુબુદ્ધિ આપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 9
શીખ સુણે રસિક છંદ જ એક ચિત્તે,
તેને થકી ત્રિવિધ તાપ ટળે ખચિત્તે,
વાઘે વિશેષ વળી અંબ તણા પ્રતાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 10
શ્રી સદગુરુ શરણમાં રહીને યજું છું,
રાત્રિદિને ભગવતી તુજને ભજું છું,
સદભક્ત સેવકતણા પરિતાપ ચાંપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 11
અંતર વિષે અધિક ઉર્મિ થતાં ભવાનિ,
ગાઉં સ્તુતિ તવ બળે નમીને મૃડાણી,
સંસારના સકળ રોગ સમૂળ કાપો,
મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ! ભવ દુઃખ કાપો. 12

( ગુજરાત, ખાસ કરીને સુરત અને વડોદરા પર આવી પડેલી કુદરતી આફત વખતે દૂર બેઠા બેઠા તો પ્રાથના જ કરી શકું… ગુજરાતને કોઇની નજર લાગી છે કે શું ? એક બાજુ અતિવૃષ્ટિ, કોઇ ભાગમાં અનાવૃષ્ટિ, કોઇ વાર ભૂકંપ, અને ઉપરથી કોમી રમખાણો અને આતંકવાદ.. આવા સમયે તો ભગવાનને પણ એવું કેવું પડે… આ તારા કોપથી તો ભગવાન બચાવે.. )

મને પુરે પુરી ખાત્રી છે કે આજ શબ્દો સાચા છે. પણ ઘણી જગ્યા એ ” મામ્ પાહિ ઓ ભગવતી ” ની જગ્યા એ ” મામ્ પાહિ ઓમ્ ભગવતી ” શબ્દ નો પ્રયોગ થાય છે. જાણ કાર મહેર્બાનિ કર ખુલાસો કરે.
મને એવો ખ્યાલ છે કે આ સ્તુતિ કવિ નર્મદ ની છે. Any comments / clarification please.
