ભોમિયા વિના મારે ભમવા’તા ડુંગરા,
જંગલની કુંજકુંજ જોવી હતી;
જોવી’તી કોતરો ને જોવી’તી કંદરા,
રોતા ઝરણાંની આંખ લ્હોવી હતી.
સૂના સરવરિયાની સોનેરી પાળે
હંસોની હાર મારે ગણવી હતી;
ડાળે ઝૂલંત કોક કોકિલાને માળે
અંતરની વેદના વણવી હતી.
એકલા આકાશ તળે ઊભીને એકલો,
પડઘા ઉરબોલના ઝીલવા ગયો;
વેરાયા બોલ મારા, ફેલાયા આભમાં,
અકલો અટૂલો ઝાંખો પડ્યો.
આખો અવતાર મારે ભમવા ડુંગરિયા,
જંગલની કુંજકુંજ જોવી ફરી;
ભોમિયા ભૂલે એવી ભમવી રે કંદરા,
અંતરની આંખડી લ્હોવી જરી.

– શ્બ્દોનેી સુન્દરતા, શબરિના બોર ઘોલેીને બનાવ્યો હોય તેવો ગાયકનો ભાવ નિતરતો મેીથો અવાજ અને ભાવનેી ભવ્યતા!
જાને સોનામા સુગન્ધ અને પ્રાન બેઉ પુર્યા હોય એવિ અનુભુતિ આ ગેીત સામ્ભલિને થાય ચે.
આ ગેીત સામ્ભલતા અને ગનગનતા, ભૌતિક અને આન્તરિક કન્દરાઓમા ભમ્યા કરવાનિ ઇચ્ચા થયા જ કરે ચે.

શ્રિ ઉમાશકર નુ ગિત ભોમ્યાવિના મારા કોલેજ ના અભ્યાસ વખતે મે પાઠ્ય પુસ્ત્ક મા વાન્ચેલુ.આ એક અતિલોક પ્રિય ગિત હ્તુ અને વિધયાર થિઓ ના મોઢે ગુજ્તુ રેહ્તુ હ્તુ વર્સો બાદ વન્ચ્વા મ્લ્તા બહુ આન્દ થ્યો.જ્ય્શ્રિ બેન અને ટહુકાનો આભાર.
આ ગિત જ્યારે હુ જન્ગલ મા પર્વતોનો વ્રક્ષોનો નઝારો જોઊ ત્યારે ઝુમેીને ગાઊ .

આ ગીત વરશો પહઍલા રડિયો પર કોઇ બહેનના સ્વરમા સાભલ્યુ હતુ. એ original ગીત સાભળવા મળૅ તો મઝા આવી જાય્.

My school days’ favourite. I studied at a place which closely resembles the words in this poem. એ પર્વતો, ગામ ની પાદર મા વહેતી નદી, ચારેકોર હરીયાળી, મોરલા ના ટહુકાઓ, સિન્હ ની ત્રાડ, A small heaven on the earth, my village Bhakha (Gir), Ta: Una, Dist: Junagadh.

ખરે ખર ભાઈ આજે તો મજા પડી ગઈ એમ થઇ ગયું કે ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય જ સર્વસ્વ છે
એમાં તે પણ “ભોમિયા વિના મારે ભમવાતા ડુંગરા” એ પણ પાછું ગાઈ ને મજા પડી ગઈ ભાઈ

It was not basant, It was in Raag Ashavari. It is true that song sung in that raag will be a right tribute to Umashnkarji.

i believe it was BASANT Rag in which we used to sing. i still sing that in that tune ocassionally. i haven’t found audio in Basant.

આખુ ગીત સાંભળવાની ધીરજ રાખશો તો જણાશે કે શરૂઆતમાં સંગીત પછી જે શબ્દો લખ્યા છે એ જ ગીત સંભળાય છે.
આ ગીત નથિ પ્લે થતુ . ન્યા ગીત ની બદ્લે બિજુ સંગીત જ વાગે છે. મારે એ ગીત સાભળવુ છે.
