Birth Centenary Celebration of Shri Manubhai Pancholi ‘Darshak’ – Boston (Sept 27, 2014)

Shri Manubhai Pancholi is one of the most creative authors, educator and thinker who has given unparalleled heritage to Gujarat. He is the iconic figure who made lifelong contribution in literature, education and other aspects of society.
Shri Mansukh Salla will give a talk — ‘Darshak’ – His literature and life.
Shri Salla was a close associate of Shri Manubhai and spent decades with him which provided deep insights into the works and life of Darshak. Shri Mansukhbhai Salla is a writer, educationist and Gandhian . He graduated from Lokbharati — an educational institution co-founded by Shri Nanabhai Bhatt and Shri Darshak—has received a Master’s degree from Gujarat Vidyapeeth. Currently he is President of the Gujarat Kelavani Parishad, a trustee of the Darshak Foundation, a member of the executive committee of India Literary Academy and many other organizations. He was invited to deliver keynote speech on Darshak at the ninth biannual conference of the Gujarati Literary Academy of North America.
Dr.Pramod Thakar from Boston, a writer, poet, playwright will talk about Darshak’s literature and his impact on Gujarat as a thinker.
There will be reading from Darshak’s play.
Reading from ‘Manubhai Pancholi Saathe Vichaaryatra’, a book edited by Shri Mahendra Meghani.
