Rekhaben, we are the few lucky individuals who witnessed the Foundation laying ceremony or Corner stone placing process of Gujarat Culture Program at University of Florida. What we witnessed was a true miracle, collection of $ 300,000 for the Gujarat Culture Program at UF in one evening! It is indeed a miracle ! Our Goal is ultimately to raise 5 million USD from our community in the entire country. Any help you can give to our efforts will be greatly appreciated by all of us.
Please explore the possibility with your colleagues of hosting a Poetry Festival in 2013 in your area. The UF Gujarat Culture Program can be a cosponsor for the program. UF will provide some support but leave all responsibilities on the local organizers. This way we can reach out to various localities in USA and strengthen the UF outreach Program. We raised $ 300,000 at the banquet but our goal is to increase it to five million endowment to strengthen the Gujarat Culture Program at UF. The good time for such a festival will be next spring or early summer. It will be wonderful to bring together the talent of our poetic treasure of Gujarat.
